A big thank you to all the folks from the QueensŽ Engineering Society who attended their formal evening last night.
It was a great night. We hope you all enjoyed the evening.
Paul Helps Us Out
A special mention goes out to Paul who thrilled everyone with his renditions of "Dakota" and "Human". IŽm sure everyone was as impressed as we were!
You can usually judge the calibre of a guest singer by the way they personally hand up a written request for you to call them up to sing!

An engineering task to challenge the best
An even bigger mention goes out to the lads and ladies from the formal committee who were setting the room up for the evening.
They were faced with a task that required a whole new level of shrewd engineering thinking that would test their years of study.
They had to work out how to fix a banner to the front of a table!
They thought about it. They mused over it. They pondered potential solutions.
They were studious in their approach - bringing all their problem solving skills to the fore. But they didnŽt appear to be getting anywhere.
Until John, our bass player, stepped in with a roll of duct tape, stuck the banner to the table and finished off the task by congratulating them on their engineering prowess!
Unfortunately, the banner that the formal committe then erected themselves came falling down a short while later!
Still. There have been worse engineering disasters. I suppose!
