I heard the best wedding speech joke of all last weekend.
During the best man´s speech, he was was recounting how he had noticed the father of the bride becoming emotional during the wedding ceremony.
The bride´s father became nostalgic about his soon-to-be-wed daughter...
"I was just thinking back to when my daughter was a little girl. And what a lovely child she was.
I can remember that her favourite plaything was a Kermit The Frog stuffed toy. She took that frog everywhere. In fact, she wouldn´t go to sleep at night without Kermit The Frog lying beside her on her pillow."
The best man listened sympathetically...
"And I was just thinking," the bride´s father continued, "how history seems to repeat itself."
"How´s that?" asked the best man.
"Well," said the father of the bride, "I was just recalling that, 20 years ago, I was sending my daughter to bed with a muppet. "
"And here we are 20 years later, I´m doing the same thing all over again!!!!."
